Privacy at plansorted
This page explains the information used by our planning tools and the choices you have. Updated 15 October 2026.
Chat and planning information
Your messages, relevant conversation context and planning preferences are sent to our AI provider to generate an answer. The service supports Anthropic and OpenAI; the provider used depends on the service configuration. Avoid putting sensitive personal information into chat.
A profile can hold details such as your suburb, transport and dietary preferences, likes, saved items and short notes from conversations. Profiles and preferences can be stored in your browser and on our server so later plans can use them.
Saved plans, Moments and location
Saving a Moment can store your email address, occasion, date, preferences and generated planning details. Shared plan links make the shared content available to anyone who has the link. Keep private access links to yourself.
If you choose the location control, your browser asks for permission before supplying your location. You can decline or change this permission in your browser settings.
Browser storage and measurement
Local storage and session storage remember profile identifiers, saved picks, access tokens and campaign information. Our own analytics record page visits and actions, anonymous or profile identifiers, referral campaign labels and performance information to understand which features work.
The server also processes network information for rate limits and usage checks, and operational logs for troubleshooting. Analytics properties are restricted to approved fields; this does not make all service data anonymous.
Services that process information
Vercel hosts the site and Upstash stores server records. Anthropic or OpenAI process AI requests. Mailchimp manages newsletter subscriptions and delivery. Stripe handles paid subscription checkout; our service keeps subscription status and related identifiers.
Map, place, weather and other external services receive the requests needed to supply their features. Opening a directions, booking or other external link takes you to that provider, whose privacy terms apply. These providers may process information outside Australia.
Walking route checks send the selected start and destination addresses to Google Maps Platform. Google processes those requests under its Privacy Policy.
Keeping information and your choices
Retention varies by feature and provider. For example, server copies of shared plans expire after 30 days; other records, logs and email subscriptions have different lifetimes. This is not a promise that all information is deleted after 30 days.
You can clear site storage through your browser settings, though this may remove access to saved items. Clearing browser storage does not delete server records or cancel a paid subscription. Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe link.
For access, correction, deletion or other privacy questions, email hello@plansorted.app. Include enough detail to identify the feature or record, but do not send payment card details or private access tokens.
